The Association “e-Transformacija” successfully organized the third Cyber Security Summit, which brought together more than 200 participants over the course of two days, including representatives from numerous companies and institutions across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Following the two-day conference, six key conclusions were adopted that will serve as the foundation for the Association’s future efforts in the field of cybersecurity. These conclusions will also be submitted to decision-makers in order to improve the current state of cybersecurity in the country. The participants of the conference agreed on the following:

  • We call on the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina to:
    • Develop a national strategy aimed at enhancing cybersecurity capacities in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
    • Actively work on drafting regulations to govern the use of digital technologies and cybersecurity;
  • Map the available capacities that can contribute to strengthening cybersecurity and provide assistance in the event of major cyber incidents;
  • Provide support to organizations and the non-governmental sector in building cybersecurity capacities and raising public awareness. This includes the creation of new and enhancement of existing facilities for hands-on training and simulations in the field of cybersecurity;
  • Establish mechanisms and protocols for information sharing on cyber incidents and encourage the standardized exchange of experiences stemming from such incidents;
  • Organize a comprehensive study to objectively assess the state of cybersecurity in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to define concrete action plans for strengthening national cybersecurity capacities.
  • We also call on universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to incorporate study programs focused on cybersecurity into their curricula.
