IT SECURITY CONFERENCE

The second Cyber Security Summit was successfully concluded. More than 150 participants, representing numerous companies and institutions from across Bosnia and Herzegovina, attended over 20 presentations on cyber threats, major risks, and ways to strengthen protection against these types of threats.

Following the two-day conference, seven key conclusions were adopted, which will serve as the foundation for the future work of the Association in the field of cybersecurity. These conclusions will also be forwarded to all relevant decision-makers in order to improve the current situation in this area. The conference participants agreed on the following:

• Actively work on further raising awareness and knowledge about cybersecurity among organizations and society in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole;
• Take a systematic approach to addressing the shortage of cybersecurity professionals;
• Build capacity for hands-on training and simulations in the field of cybersecurity;
• Standardize methods for sharing experiences derived from cyber incidents;
• Connect the community of cybersecurity experts and map currently available resources that can assist in the event of significant cyber incidents;
• Promote best practices among institutions regarding legislative development;
• Organize a comprehensive study on this topic to create an accurate overview of the current state and develop recommendations for improvement.
